Maintenance/Janitorial Technician – Commercial

Union Real Estate Commercial Maintenance Technicians are responsible for ensuring all general maintenance and cleanliness of shopping center properties and/or office buildings managed by Union Real Estate as agent for property owners. Overall duties include maintaining the interior and exterior premises of designated properties while also performing minor facility repairs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the day to day janitorial and maintenance operations of the property.
  • Vacuuming/Mopping and cleaning throughout the building.
  • Cleaning the inside and outside of windows within reach from the ground level.
  • Walking the outside of the building to ensure grounds are free of clutter and trash.
  • Assisting with special projects as needed.
  • Experience with custodial responsibilities including cleaning of restrooms
  • Respond to emergency calls for repair work 24/7.
  • Maintain grounds. Keep public areas free of debris, snow, and ice in the winter.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision, read and complete work orders, complete daily work logs, and use the computer to check emails and other related computer work.


  • Have dependable transportation to and from work.
  • Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strongly prefer an applicant located in the North Hills/Wexford area. Background and criminal checks are required. Position available for immediate hire.


  • Custodial Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Hours:

  • Work hours: 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday.


  • $35,000-$40,000 per year based on experience and knowledge.
