Union Real Estate Leasing Agents work to keep multi-family properties occupied with satisfied tenants. Leasing Agents are responsible for the day-to-day management leasing activities like managing viewings, preparing leases, and answering service requests. Leasing Agents work with the residential property management staff. The job is ideal for someone that is organized, friendly, and able to multitask

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Leasing and Marketing

  • Respond to prospective tenants’ calls and emails.
  • Coordinate apartment showings. Present properties and amenities in a positive light to prospective tenants to help secure rental agreements.
  • Run credit/background reports on prospective tenants and provide information to the property manager.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain rental documents.
  • Understand and comply with Fair Housing Laws and all company rules and regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.
  • Add and update apartment availability on rental listing sites including our website
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and prospects.
  • Completes market surveys as requested by the Property Manager, monitors area trends and stays current on the needs of prospective renters. Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline.

Administrative

  • Assist residents with maintenance service requests. Enter service requests into the software and pass all service requests to maintenance personnel.
  • Assist the Property Manager by scheduling move-ins and move-outs in order to make transitions smoother in residency.
  • Ensure the gym, pool area, and community in a neat and orderly fashion. Report incidents to management immediately.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with the Property Manager and the Maintenance Staff
  • Familiarize and reference to the accounting system for a financial overview for tenants
  • Assist in the distribution or delivery of notices or policy changes.
  • Complete other projects and tasks as assigned and prioritized by the Property Manager or the Director of Residential Management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in property management, leasing, or other real estate work preferred
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of common software programs like Office, Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Personable, professional, outgoing
  • Collaboration and teamwork abilities

Work Hours:

  • Part Time – Determined by the Property Manager Up to 30 hours per week. Saturday hours are guaranteed.

Salary:

  • $13-$15 hourly wage, Paid lunch breaks, Paid Holidays on regular scheduled work days (PT), 401(k) Plan (eligible after completing 1 year of service equal to 1000 hours a year)
